QUESTIONS
Before you buy
Is this real, natural comb?
Yes. It is cut from wild hives and packed just as it is. The uneven shape, the wax cells and small bits of natural wax are signs the comb hasn’t been processed.
Why are some parts of the comb pale or white?
That is the beeswax cap the bees use to seal each cell once the honey inside is ready. It is completely natural and edible.
Is it normal if the honey turns thick or grainy?
Yes. Raw honey can crystallise naturally, especially in cool weather. It doesn’t mean it has gone bad – the taste and goodness stay the same.
How long does it keep?
Stored at room temperature with the lid closed, it keeps well until the expiry date printed on the label.
Can children eat comb honey?
Yes, for children over 1 year old. Do not give honey in any form to babies under 12 months.
